Dr. Shah completed both undergraduate studies and a medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. During medical school, he gained early insight into the field of pain medicine. He went on to finish an Anesthesiology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, and then returned to his hometown of Chicago for fellowship training in Pain Medicine at Rush University Medical Center.
